Max Speed: Distance Covered: What can you say? Not quite the F4 that was forecast but I'd made the trip down there - bugger-all wind, lots of folk, sun shining... I had to do it - not sailed since Jan 1 - so out with the barge & the 9.4m: Actually managaed to get planing for about 15 mins & was even feeling slightly overpowered and one point. Then the wind turned off - game over. Interesting how heavy these huge sails are when you have to carry them all the way back up the beach with no wind to help!. Good to meet up with Al Cole (unexpectedly in the area) & Spencer |
